Hi everyone!

Greetings from Tokyo :) I am happy to be back in this wild city after our tour in November. I am here to stage my piece “Are you as big as me?” for the Ballet Gala performances of NBS (Japan’s Performing Arts Foundation), called “Princes of the Ballet”. At the same time I am also choreographing the opening and the finale of the ballet gala.

I am working here with the ballet stars Daniil Simkin, Leonid Sarafanov, Daniel Camargo, Maria Kochetkova, Sarah Lamb, Vladimir Shklyarov and Edward Watson. I am really excited! It is a big challenge and it means a lot of work in a short amount of time. But I have to say that even though the dancers are big stars, they are very nice and working really hard. I am hoping that everything is going to go well at the Friday premiere and the three following shows. At the same time I think of my colleagues and the staff at the Stuttgart Ballet. I am hoping that they can still find a lot of energy for the upcoming exciting program before the end of the season. Good luck! – I am looking forward to be back soon and to be a part of it as well! :-)

Dear Stuttgart,

Today will be my first performance with the Korean National Ballet in John Cranko’s Taming of the Shrew! The last two weeks have been great fun with lots of hard work. I miss all my friends in Stuttgart but with the help of Sue Jin Kang and Filip Barankiewicz I feel as if I am at home.  I hope to have a lot of fun tonight with my partner Ji Young Kim who has been fantastic to work with! I am excited to return home, enjoy a good Schnitzel and am looking forward to my Stuttgart debut Petrucchio on July 21st! Until then I hope everyone is well and happy!!

With Love,

Constantine

SALOME DIARY: Behind the veil …

The night of the premiere!

For tonight we wish all the dancers, the choreographer Demis Volpi, the musicians and all colleagues who have been part of the creation of Salome a huge TOI TOI TOI!

We hope you will enojy the performance!
