Rehearsing for a special moment! Soloist Adhonay Soares da Silva will have his debut in the leading role of Petrucchio in The Taming of the Shrew in Bankok. Artististic Director Reid Anderson explains the final nuances in a Pas de deux rehearsal, together with our Principal Dancer Elisa Badenes. We keep our fingers crossed…
Dear Stuttgart Ballet and all of our friends!
After the great revival of Krabat I took a plane to London. I’m dancing Mary Skeaping’s Giselle here with English National Ballet. I had my first show on Wednesday and have another one on Sunday and after that I will already be back in Stuttgart for the premiere of SEDUCTION! :)
I am happy to say that my first show went very well and I’m enjoying the time here a lot with all the dancers and the staff of ENB and my great partner Cesar Corrales. Hope you’re all fine in Stuttgart, I can’t wait to see you soon!
Many kisses from London
In 1912 Vaslav Nijinsky created his scandalizing ballet L’Après-midi d’un faune. Almost 100 years later, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui choreographed his Faun, a pas de deux in which faun and nymph slowly encounter and sinuously entwine with each other … now who’s seducing whom??? We’re already looking forward to this comapny premiere on February 3 … here are some impressions from the rehearsal of Faun with Elisa Badenes and Pablo von Sternenfels:
