Pure Seduction! // FAUN

In 1912 Vaslav Nijinsky created his scandalizing ballet L’Après-midi d’un faune. Almost 100 years later, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui choreographed his Faun, a pas de deux in which faun and nymph slowly encounter and sinuously entwine with each other … now who’s seducing whom??? We’re already looking forward to this comapny premiere on February 3 … here are some impressions from the rehearsal of Faun with Elisa Badenes and Pablo von Sternenfels:

CHINA // OCTOBER 2016 (Day 12)

Slowly our China tour is coming to an end. Last night was the second of three performances in Beijing. Hyo-Jung Kang and Constantine Allen who danced together for the first time as Romeo and Juliet were a beautiful couple and were celebrated by an amazing audience! Tonight is already our last performance at the China National Center of the Performing Arts after which we will have a short night before we start our trip back to Stuttgart …

JAPAN // NOVEMBER 2015 (Day 3)

Tonight at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan

Tonight at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan

Dear everybody!

The last two days have been very full of rehearsals as tonight is our opening night in Japan. It is always very exciting to be dancing here because the Japanese audience is so very knowledgeable and appreciative of dance and dancers. This also means that everyone is very focused and even a little serious right now. However, with such a brilliant cast as we have tonight: Alicia Amatriain as Juliet, Friedemann Vogel as Romeo, Daniel Camargo as Mercutio, Roman Novitzky as Tybalt and Pablo von Sternenfels as Benvolio we are all really looking forward to the performance. Wishing everybody a huge TOI TOI TOI!

Today we don’t have any photos as Roman Novitzky who danced every performance in Korea and is dancing tonight really needed to rest and prepare for tonight’s performance. We’re thanking Roman for all his hard work and great photos and there will surely be more pictures soon …
