October 26th was a long day for the company at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. Early in the morning our technical staff started setting up the stage and the make up and costume departments unpacked their boxes – while for the dancers two run throughs were scheduled after class. At the same time our Artistic Director Reid Anderson was at the Forum of the 18th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, where he was invited by the Chinese Ballerina Yuan Yuan Tan to hold a keynote speech on “Creativitiy as the Soul of Ballet”.
